here we are. finally i can reveal what i'm doing right now.
take a breath. sit down. well, i do. i'm drawing ( only pencils) the first four issues of dark horse new serie based on Netflix's Stranger Things.

One year passed.

Hi to everyone. Another year passed away so quickly that i just remember i have a blog. ouch!...
I've finished Maitres Inquisiteurs T6. i've Finished Geste of chevaliers Dragons t25.  Over half book of Ork & Gobelins T5. Finished T1 of Ghost War. you can understand, now, why i've not the time for this blog :-)
Anyway, between works, i've studied a lot of oil painting, and i discovered an entire universe. my first two paintings are small and not very mastered, but i progress. here is the second one ( the first one is, really, a shit.)

I will change the hairs and bear of the man, i'm not very satisfied of the result.
the third illustration is in progress. About the same character ( without an arm) that is the main character of my new project as complete author. here are two pages of this.

hi guys.
i'm very busy at the moment.
i have received the first  four pages in color of my "mecha" project. i'm very happy because the colorist (Claudia Palescandolo) have done an incredible job. i can't show them because it's all top secret for the moment.
ugh.
anyway, here is the main character and first page of the next project with mr. Olivier Peru and some other little stuff like a splash page from book 6 of "maitres inquisiteurs" ( on sale now!)

i'm working on the chapter 4 of Alan Dracon.  the first fight (may be the last?) with killer Kanoo!  deadline  passed away, but i can't do a bad work with this story. every page have to communicate exactly what i want. here is the cover in black and white and colors.

 after a little pause on the beach i'm back to office. I've really enjoyed the London film and comics convention where i have meet great comic book artists and i have been able to see really really near legends such Rughter Hauer (the replicant nexux 6!, in the same elevator!) and Carl Weathers
A special mention for El Torres, one of the best horror ( and not) spanish writers. it's ever a pleasure.

Now a lot of projects in the desktop. Geste, Maitres inquisitors, a book for Dark Horse (star trek coloring book) and the fourth chapter of Alan Dracon.
October will be interesting. another personal project on mind and a big hope.

Nathan Never

a seguito alcune tavole dell'ultimo Nathan Never, a punto di terminare. mancano solo 4 pagine ma, la verità, è senza dubbio il miglior lavoro  da me fatto in Bonelli. ogni pagina è studiata nell'impaginazione in modo da far fluire il racconto secondo un ritmo ben preciso.

Progetti, sogni. qualcosa rimane indietro, qualcosa invece avanza ad un ritmo vertiginoso tanto da farmi intravedere la soglia dell abisso, il ciglio del burrone. Si, perché entrare in una storia, disegnarla, è per me entrare nella testa dei personaggi, di quello che gli accade, della trama...perdermi in un universo parallelo che nulla ha da invidiare ad una realtà virtuale stile Matrix. tra tutti gli universi da visitare, quelli Pulp mi trasformano immediatamente in un bambino. non che ci sia molta differenza dal mio essere adulto... Io e Tony Lee (con il quale ho lavorato su doctor who svariati anni fa) abbiamo da sempre l'idea di tornare a lavorare assieme... mi sa che stavolta la cosa si concretizza. finalmente il Team è al completo, con l'aggiunta del colorista Erick, siamo a cavallo. adesso, prendere tempo per fare le tavole al meglio e divertendomi... che, dicevo, sono ancora bambino...

ecco anche qualche preview riguardante la Taicade Martino's limited edition 2014. (per i più distratti, si tratta dei disegni per la decorazione di una macchina arcade come quelle da bar anni 80, solo ricostruita interamente ex novo per il salone di casa dal grande artigiano Jordan di minirecreativas arcade, in madrid) qui metterò solo le versioni in bianco e nero, lasciando alla data della presentazione ufficiale quelle in full color.

ritorno al lavoro su di una nuova "taicade limited edition".  l'edizione 2014 sarà composta da tre modelli differenti. il primo ha il nome provvisorio di "lady space", presto metterò su questo blog qualche preview. intanto i progetti si accavallano e il tempo stringe... nel frattempo sono in procinto di terminare una storia contenitore (cioè una trama che fa da contenitore di tre piccole storie) per Agenzia Alfa, storia di cui pongo una piccola anteprima qui sotto.
