here is some changes of the oil painting i've post last time. As you can see, face is improved and hairs too... little details that change everything.

 I have dedicated to the same character another oil painting.  I really enjoy this technique and i think is the beginning of a long series of paintings.

other news...

i'm finishing a book of Ork & Gobelins for the french soleil editions , a mini serie of 4 issues for Dark Horse ( title top-secret at the moment, but a serie really really well known), finishing another issue of Alan Dracon ( 5) and i'm waiting the script for the next book of Ghost War ( soleil). what a mess!

back to Home from a Belgian comicon. lot of fun and workmates from any part of Europe but i'm a bit tired now.

hi guys.
i'm very busy at the moment.
i have received the first  four pages in color of my "mecha" project. i'm very happy because the colorist (Claudia Palescandolo) have done an incredible job. i can't show them because it's all top secret for the moment.
ugh.
anyway, here is the main character and first page of the next project with mr. Olivier Peru and some other little stuff like a splash page from book 6 of "maitres inquisiteurs" ( on sale now!)

the new year begin with a lot of great news ( well. for me).
1  episode four of Alan Dracon finished.
2  finished the tome 6 ( 72 pages) of the french serie Maitres Inquisiteurs.
3  finished 6 illustrations for  the first book of a Dragon age series (dark horse)
4 i'm invited for the Angoulême comicon

while i'm working for Geste ( soleil), i'm speaking about some really interesting projects for 2017. REALLY INTERESTING PROJECTS.

after  8 pages in book 21, i'm working at Geste des chevaliers dragons

again. this time a full book for me. it's a great news because i'm very fan of this french serie and i feel a great mix of funny and responsibility...

i finished page 46 of Maitres inquisitors t6 too ( another 14 pages till the end)soon published in Lanfeust Magazine in 8 pages episode format and in free time ( what is this?) i'm working in the issue 4 of my own comic book Alan Dracon.

a very busy end of vacances...



here are some study of a dead project.

 after a little pause on the beach i'm back to office. I've really enjoyed the London film and comics convention where i have meet great comic book artists and i have been able to see really really near legends such Rughter Hauer (the replicant nexux 6!, in the same elevator!) and Carl Weathers
A special mention for El Torres, one of the best horror ( and not) spanish writers. it's ever a pleasure.

Now a lot of projects in the desktop. Geste, Maitres inquisitors, a book for Dark Horse (star trek coloring book) and the fourth chapter of Alan Dracon.
October will be interesting. another personal project on mind and a big hope.

...nel frattempo altri progetti bollono in pentola. uno verrà presentato in francia ad ottobre 2014 sperando non venga rifiutato o cestinato. un altro sarà terminato a settembre sempre di quest'anno e sempre per la Soleil, quindi per ottobre o novembre dovrebbe essere disponibile in libreria mentre in italia sto terminando (mancano davvero poche pagine) una storia/contenitore di agenzia alfa che vedrà la luce fra non molto. Non ultimo un progetto per una strip online che mi intruppa moltissimo. niente da dire, il 2014 sarà`un anno di fuoco per il sottoscritto. dopo la pausa di questo stranissimo mese a cavallo tra gennaio e febbraio, carico i motori  e riparto.

Orgoglioso? abbastanza direi. 5 anni fa sognavo con cose di questo tipo e sembravano impossibili. dedicazione (mia e di mia moglie in verità) fino ai limiti dell'impossibile (io e mia moglie facendo turni notturni per i colori da consegnare in tempo, per un progetto che non finì in porto... io a madrid dormendo in un lettino che puzzava come la cuccia di un cane in una casa semidistrutta, i nervi, i traslochi, le delusioni...)....e molto (moltissimo) studio per arrivare a trasformare quello che era un punto debole nei miei disegni in un punto forte (i volti).
rimane molta strada davanti, molti studi, molte cose da imparare...ma almeno non è una lotta disperata al buio, si parla di rimanere sul sentiero, in salita, duro. ma c'è un sentiero, finalmente.

Oracle

A veces trabajamos duro para una portada y no gusta. es una pena, pero que le vamos a hacer? el trabajo en equipo comporta también dejar a un lado el proprio ego y buscar una solución común. esto me da, de todas formas, la posibilidad de enseñar el personaje de mi próximo cómic Soleil, Oracles. Una historia llena de acción, drama, monstruos y espartanos... vamos, que no podía desear nada mejor. A los textos siempre el buenísimo Olivier Peru, que ya me acompañó en los dos tomos de Nosferatu.

a volte lavoriamo duramente per una copertina e poi non piace. pazienza, il lavoro in team comporta anche il fatto di lasciare da parte il proprio ego e cercare una soluzione comune al problema. Questo fatto mi da però l'opportunità  di mostrare uno dei personaggi del mio prossimo libro presso Soleil, Oracles. Una storia piena di azione, dramma, mostri e soldati spartani seminudi...insomma, non credo poter chiedere di meglio. Ai testi il sempre bravissimo Olivier Peru, che già mi accompagnò  nei due libri dedicati a Nosferatu.

Parfois on travaille sur un couverture qui après ne plait pas.. dommage, mais qu'est ce que on peut faire? le travail en équipe veut aussi qu'on laisse nôtre ego à un coté  et chercher une solution commune. De toute façon, ça me donne l'opportunité de montrer le personnage principal de mon prochaine bd chez Soleil, Oracles. C'est une histoire plein d'action, dramatique,  avec montres et spartiates... je ne peut pas demander plus! à le scenario nous avons le très bon Olivier Peru, avec lequel j'ai déjà travaillé sur les deux tomes de Nosferatu.
